Loder

Due to the earthquakes that occurred on and after February 6th, a major disaster struck 11 provinces of our country. During this period, all institutions and organizations carried out various volunteer activities to support the region. One of the most significant problems facing the region is the disruption of education. To support this issue, the Logistics Association (LODER) aims to provide volunteer academic support to students enrolled in associate, undergraduate, and graduate logistics programs in the region.

Aslı ÖZPOLAT and Özgür ÖZPEYNİRCİ spearheaded the initiative and were responsible for the implementation of subsequent activities (determining event topics, reaching out to students and volunteers, and coordinating the event).

In this context, efforts were made to reach students in the region through university clubs, academics at relevant universities, and social media channels. A total of 159 students applied, the majority of whom came from Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, Gaziantep University, İskenderun Technical University, and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University.

The form prepared for volunteer instructors received 28 applications from academics and logistics professionals. These applications came from 16 different institutions.

The events, which began with an opening session, took place over a four-week period from Monday, March 13, 2023, to Friday, April 7, 2023. As part of the event were held on the topics:

A total of 55 sessions were held on the topics. 338 participants attended these sessions.

Our volunteers and their institutions organizing the sessions are listed below:

We would like to thank LODER Directors Prof. Dr. Gülçin BÜYÜKÖZKAN and Prof. Dr. Mehmet TANYAŞ for their unwavering support in making these events possible, as well as all the volunteers who organized the sessions.
